Course Information


Our all-inclusive course includes:

  • An 8-hour course with 6 hours of classroom education and 2 hours of hands-on lab training with the QMA Program Director; the student will be required to have 100% accuracy performing the skill checklists for insulin administration before they’re permitted to complete their training under the direct supervision of the designated registered nurse at the student's facility. 
  •  All required study and lab materials 
  •  RESQ's QMA Program Director and administrative staff will verify and submit to Ivy Tech all required documentation for students to sit for the certification exam along with the required exam fee.  
  •  If the student is not successfully challenging the written exam, RESQ will offer a 1.5-hour remediation class at no charge to the student.
  •  The cost of the course is $215.00 per student that will be due at the time of registration by phone or online payment the course on our website listed below.    

Course Overview

 This course will follow the established ISDH curriculum and will prepare the student for the secured QMA Insulin Administration Exam that will be proctored by Ivy Tech. Successful completion of the written exam will provide the student a QMA -Insulin Administration sub-type Certification; only then are they permitted to administer insulin in a facility. 


  • Tuition is required to be paid in full prior to the start of class. 
  • There will be a $50 non-refundable administrative fee
  • You will need to complete your training at an ISDH approved facility with an RN
  • Prior to registration, your practicum facility will need to be placed on the approved ISDH list using the practicum agreement 
  • Bring your ID, SS card, QMA certificate, and CNA certificate to the first day of class. You will not be able to attend class without these!
